Zune

How To: Connect your Zune to your home stereo (without the A/V kit accessory!)

The Zune Home A/V accessory provides a docking station, cables, and wireless remote for conveniently hooking up your Zune player to your home stereo system.

But you can spare yourself the expense of the accessory by just connecting your player directly to your stereo. While not quite as convenient as the A/V accessory, it's easy to do... and inexpensive.

You'll need a cable that has a standard stereo headphone 1/8" jack on one end, and two RCA (typically white/red) connectors on the other end.

Plug the headphone jack into the Zune headphone connector. Plug the two RCA connectors at the other end of the cable into the Auxiliary ("AUX") input on your stereo system.

To play, just select a playlist or song on your Zune player as you normally would. On some stereos, you may have to set your stereo selector to "Aux" input.

It's an easy workaround... and it sounds great!
