Review: Incipio's Flip Case for Zune 80GB
Today we're looking at Incipio's Flip case for the Zune 80GB player. This well-made case offers a premium look with its supple leather, quality construction and thoughtful design. All of that, for less than $20, earns this case our Recommended by Zunerama rating. Read on for the full review.
Packaging. The Flip is boxed in Incipio's packaging shown below.
The case offers attractive protection for the Zune 80GB player, with smooth, sheeny leather exterior, and microsuede cushioning on the inside. Stitching is even and tight. Small, strong magnets embedded in the case keep the fliptop closed.
When closed, the fliptop covers the hold switch and leaves a notch exposed for headphone use. With this sensible design, you can open and close the fliptop without having to disconnect the headphones. I find this much more convenient than fliptop cases that have a circular opening for headphone access.
The sync cable can be inserted easily from the bottom of the case.
The plastic belt clip feels solid. It's worked well for me in wearing this case the past week or so.
Inside, a clear shield protects the screen, while an opening below provides direct access to the touch pad and the player's Back and Play/Pause buttons.
The Incipio Flip feels good, looks good, and comes with a price that's easy to swallow.
