Review: Incipio's Duke Case for Zune 8GB/4GB
Incipio has released cases for Zune's second-generation players, and today we look at its Duke case for the Zune 8GB/4GB players.
Packaging. The Duke is boxed in Incipio's packaging shown below.
The case offers attractive cushioning for the Zune flash memory models (4GB and 8GB). The case is made of natural raw leather in its outer layer. It gives a coarser texture than, say, the more supple leather on Incipio's flip case, but still feels good while giving a more casual, natural look. The inside layer is soft suede. A solid snap fastener keeps the case firmly closed. The good quality stitching is even and tight.
The top of the player is fully exposed for access to the hold switch and the lanyard slot.
Sync cable and headphone jack can be inserted easily from the bottom of the case.
Inside, a clear shield protects the screen, while an opening below provides direct access to the touch pad and the player's Back and Play/Pause buttons.
The Duke is a compact case that protects the player without being too bulky. The leather looks good, and Incipio says that it will age and change color with use - adding to the personality of this functional, well-designed case.
