Zune 3.0 – New Players

While technically not part of the 3.0 release, Microsoft announced the release of new players and pricing, coincident with the 3.0 roll-out. The new players are:
Zune 120GB. Priced nicely at $249, this hard drive player is a capacity upgrade from the Zune 80GB. It’s available in glossy black, with a matte black back. See our unboxing video.
Zune 16GB. This flash player doubles the capacity of the previous model, at the same price: $199. Available in glossy black with a black back (unlike the silver back of the 8GB and 4GB). See our unboxing pictures.
Zune 8GB (blue). A striking blue model has been added to the 8GB Zune player choices. You can see an in-the-wild shot here.
(Microsoft is discontinuing the 4GB flash player and the 80GB player, so those players will disappear as existing inventories run out.)
Official pricing for all Zune models:
- 120 GB: $249.99
- 80 GB: $229.99
- 16 GB: $199.00
- 8 GB: $149.99
- 4 GB: $129.99
