With the release of Zune software 3.0, Microsoft is updating Marketplace. Some notable features:

Picks.

This Marketplace menu option takes you to a page that shows track picks recommended for you, and a list of “listeners like you”. This should be fun for new music discovery, and will make it a lot easier to find new friends - and new music - in the Zune Social.

Channels.

Channels are dynamically-generated playlists, that keep a steady stream of updated tracks tailored just for you. See the Zune firmware link below for more on this new feature.

Artist Pages.

Artist pages now also show tour information including dates and venues.
