The main difference between the Zune 120 and Zune 80 is, well, 40 GB of capacity. (Hey, those insightful details are why you come to this site.)
This quickie video shows the new glossy finish of the Zune 120 and compares it side-by-side with the Zune 80. You can also see the back of the 120, [...]

I just unboxed a Zune 120GB player, the newest and highest-capacity hard drive media player from Microsoft.
This is a player you may want to get to know. It fills a unique place in the digital player market: a high-capacity player with a bright, nicely-sized (3.2-inch) screen. This makes it ideal for carrying video collections around with you, [...]

The Zune 120GB comes with two preloaded games - Texas Hold’em and Hexic. In our Zune team meetings today, Paul Colligan shot this video of them.

This morning, the Zune 120GB is listing as sold out on Fry’s.
And, while it was selling yesterday on Amazon, this morning it is not even appearing in Amazon’s search results.
I hope this is not a sign of Zune-80-like availability issues.
For now, we’ll chalk it up to the vagaries of it being still in pre-release mode. [...]

A few people have now snagged Zune 120GB players, prior to the official release. Our own Mockers has ordered her own already and should have it in a week. Presumably, by then, the official release date will have arrived.
For anyone who has one already, I’d love to know:
Is there any preloaded content on the player? [...]

Here’s the first unboxing pic of a Zune 120GB - thanks to Gizmodo.
Do my eyes deceive me, or are those a pair of standard headphones in that plastic package?
Too bad, because I thought the premium headphones were a nice touch for the Zune 80GB. This is probably a price-competitiveness decision on the part of Microsoft.
That [...]

Somebody jumped ahead of the gun, selling a 120GB Zune at Fry’s in Atlanta today. Awesome!
That sticker price is $249.99, making our earlier story off by only 4 cents.
Thanks to Engadget.

Zune 120GB players are now available for pre-order in multiple sites around the web. I did a Froogle search this morning and found 12 hits on “Zune 120GB player”.
Prices range from $231.81. Presumably these are pre-orders, although Zunerama member longbluesquid reports that CompuPlus is claiming they have them in stock.

A Wal-Mart worker just sent Zunerama some clues on the new Zune line-up:
There is no longer a shelf label for the black Zune 80, and it’s listed in Wal-Mart’s database as NRPL (non-replenishable). That means Wal-Mart can no longer order the black Zune 80.
The Zune 4GB player is also showing up as NRPL.
This *could* mean [...]

Just saw this pre-order link from bhphotovideo.com, for 120GB Zune for $249.95. It’s the first indication of pricing that I’ve seen.
And, below it, an 8GB Zune flash player in *blue*.
Move this into the “strong rumor” department! (Thanks, Ricardo.)
