Countdown to MVP Summit: Topic 6 - Zune games, XNA
« on: March 29, 2008, 10:32:03 AM »

Quote
As the MVP global summit nears - it's April 14-17 - I'm going to start several threads to gather our community's thoughts on different aspects of Zune.

I want to accurately represent the members of this forum, and our collective (although often differing) needs/desires/opinions.

To help organize myself, I'll start different MVP Summit threads on discussion areas that I expect to be involved in with the Zune team.

Note: I will be under NDA at the MVP summit, so will have to respect that in terms of what I can report back!

I welcome your thoughts. Thanks all..!

Work on games for the 30. You didn't leave us in the dark last time. Please don't do it this time. That would ruin many people's fates in Zune.

I think it was already announced they were doing this. It just won't be as cool because they aren't touch.

I hope they improve the battery life for this gaming feature. Zune 30 will be hurt the worst if they can't improve battery life.

will the XNA beta tools work with the Zune device in June/July so we can play test some of the game available instead of waiting 'til Holiday season?

1. Since Music has initially been the focus for Zune MarketPlace, any thoughts on creating a Zune Karaoke game and mic accessory for XBox which has access to Zune MarketPlace?

I want Peggle for my Zune right now.  I think it would work well too on it.

Also put at least one free game in a future Zune firmware update.  That flying/shooting game from the tech demo looks really fun.

It will be neat to be able to play Tetris with your own background music!
