Zune going for $149.99 at CostCo
« on: September 29, 2007, 10:17:18 PM »

LINK

Price-slashing continues on the Zune first-generation player, with CostCo now dishing it out for $149.99.

It's a time-limited offer, through November 15 while supplies last. It's a nice discount from Zune's recently-reduced MSRP of $199... and undercuts Amazon's price for Zune, which (this hour) ranges from $165.95 for brown to $189.99 for pink.

The shelf-clearing continues. Let's bring on Generation 2!

Thanks to Armond for the tip.

Through November 15th... Very reminiscent of a date from 2006.

$169.99 post November 15th isn't too bad either.

This is an on line price, right?.......... Not in the store?
Not a bad price, but I am starting to wonder just HOW many white Zunes were made?

Not definitive: but this is mentioned on the CostCo Zune page:

"Costco.com offers merchandise which complements our warehouse product selection. Therefore, most items available on our web site are unique to costco.com."

I say, old bean! I must express my astonishment of your claim! Is this fact or clever ruse?

Actually when you factor in shipping and handling and the surcharge for non-members, it's about the same price as amazon.com

Costco total price: $171.13

Amazon.com total price: $172.94

Of course if you have a Costco membership, that helps. And the amazon.com price is for the brown one, so if you'd rather have white, then Costco is definitely a better deal.
