I don't have such a list, beyond what's already in the download list. Right now Super and DVDtoWMV seem to be the most heavily-used freeware ones in our forum.

I'm using Super right now, but will be looking at something different.

There is a giveaway that you might be able to win right here on Zunerama of a highly recommendable product.

I use Videora iPod Converter.

Works great for me. Except that it converts to .mp4, then the Zune software has to convert the .mp4 to .wmv. That second part takes awhile.

Yes, now I can too say this blows.

I'm actually considering "buying" (gawd did i say that) Cucusoft's package as it looks to be speedy and I have a assload of .mov files.

I want something that can easily convert to Zune and be playable by the 360.

Did I mention the 360 is finicky with exactly what .wmv files it will play?  Probably 100 times.

I have tried Cucusoft's trial, and it makes it so that I can no longer play my xvid videos.  the converter crashes and when i try to play an xvid video it crashes the media player.  i have found no way other than to use videora ipod converter and convert those shows twice.  if anyone would like to help, the file i am having trouble with is from www.oliv3r.net  check Heroes or LOST

those are all on for free trials.  I frankly hate the fact that it is so difficult to convert videos to my zune.  I have never been able to do it simply.  does anyone know of a good FREE converter that i don't have to pirate to use fully?

Oh, but there are lots of free converters available that will do the job just fine. Here a few to look at:

1) Microsoft Windows Media Encoder 9 (recommended by Microsoft for converting video files for the Zune).

2) MediaCoder

3) Handbrake

4) WM Converter 2

I've tested all four, and they all do the job. My personal preference is (1).
