Split Hard Drive?
« on: October 31, 2009, 09:29:56 PM »

I was wondering if there was anyway to split or divide the hard drive in anyway where say me and my girlfriend have two different music likes but we also like some of the same and don't want to spend for another device.

If you plan to use multiple operating systems, then you'll absolutely need multiple partitions of hard drive. You will get more detail at pcworld.

Partition your hard drive. It is best to do it during the installation of the Operating System. The setup will have a partitioning option. you want to make 3 partitions. Make sure you make your main C drive a big enough partition to sustain your computer use and applications. I use 40 gig at least for my C drive.

If you already have your operating system installed, you will need partitioning software, like partition magic.
