First look: Zune 16GB player
We have unboxing pics of the 16GB Zune, in that new glossy black finish. Follow the “More” link to see the unboxing pics of this newest Zune flash player.

The outer packaging is minimalist, clean, and nearly identical to the Zune 4GB and 8GB boxes.

Unlike earlier models, the Zune 16GB starts up out of the box - it doesn’t need to be firmware-upgraded before you fire it up. The 16GB currently ships with Zune software 2.5. That’ll get updated to 3.0 on September 16th.

The back of the player , like the front and sides, is glossy black. A nice finish - I might even like it better than the silver back of the 4GB and 8GB players.

The black finish does indeed look sharp.

There is less of an emphasis on preloaded content with this player. No music tracks, one short introductory Zune video, and 34 graphic images (for use as backgrounds).

Underneath the player’s bed are the manuals, sync cable, and standard headphones.

Here’s everything you get.

Another satisfying unboxing experience from Zune. Time to charge this thing and start playing with it!
